After trying to diagnose a top end knocking noise for a while I pulled my heads today expecting to see burned valves as I had 0 psi on LHS side cylinder bank, turns out the knocking was two of my rod bearings totally disintegrated, two other spun and on their way out, other two seem Ok and everything else is fine looks like I caught it in time. New oil pump and everything the bearing clearances were perfect and covered in lucas assembly lube.. lasted only a few hours
What could be the underlying cause of this? Maybe under or overfilling the oil? The dipstick seemed hard to use accurately
